"Creative Type"

So, I was at this barbecue today, and an older woman who, upon hearing what I do for a living, said, "Oh, you're one of those Creative Types."
Like the polite, agreeable fellow I am I answered with a polite, agreeable "Ha ha, yeah." or something like that.
I wish now that I'd said, "No." That would have been more creative than the "Ha ha, yeah" that allowed her to put me in her little conceptual container. I should have tweaked her double chin, given her a wink, danced a little jig, and beat her to death with a rock.
Ha ha. Just kidding! You know how we Creative Types like to use our imaginations!

Weak End

It's Friday and I'm about to leave work. I know what I'm doing Saturday. I know what I'm doing Sunday. My weekend is planned. By scheduling my life in this way I've projected myself right into the future and out the other side. I missed the whole damn thing!!!

Easy Does It!

Let's try to avoid this sort of thing, eh?

Art Show

So, I took part in Glendale's "Open Studio Tour" on July 9th with the Tropico Artists Collective (which I've been a part of since May or June of last year). Good eggs one and all! So, here are 5 of the 28 drawings I vomited onto the wall that Sunny Sunday. It was such a hot day...you're lucky you missed it! Unless you went, of course, in which case you're lucky you got to see everyone's artwork.

Time Flies!

This image came to mind as I filled out my timecard yesterday.

Kenny Loggins

I had originally drawn this for a gallery show back in February, but I ended up leaving it out because I didn't think it was very good. I still don't think it's very good, but some charitable folks think I should have shown it. Here...I'll show it to you! Kenny Loggins!!!

Pluot

Here's a pluot that I drew from life last week. It's horrible! It has testicles!!! I don't know what happened to it after I drew it.
